Old Star Trek review with some really nice art by J D Lendl. I really like his art.

Something the Republicans do well and the GOP lite corporate Dems didn't respond well to.
Here's something that Republicans do pretty effectively. If they're in power America is Great and they have an overwhelming media advantage where it's guaranteed that message gets out. However, if they're out of power they'll tell you "America Sucks" and we're about to get into a nuclear conflict with Putin. And a non passable migrant tranny will stab you to death at night. Those were pretty much the Pro Trump ads that I got soaked with during the election and it looks like they worked. (Mainly because these ads weren't effectively countered but that's another short essay.)Average voters think America isn't great not just because of those somewhat silly things but the fact that you're being raped by the predatory companies in the illustration below. However, the now GOP lite Dems, thinking about Rahm as their next chairman which would mean they have learned nothing (Nothing. Really.) from losing all three branches, can't make the argument that this is the problem of living in the US. Harris insiders and Sen. Chris Murphy pretty much admitted this. The GOP solutions will make your life worse in pretty much all of these areas. Every one of them. And Dems can't point out that they have either better solutions or that they would actually crackdown on these problems.
Update: Now that I think of it it's not clear that the Dems would do much about these problems, either. And it's clear that voters felt that way as well. The Biden Way, as I've noticed on student debt and Cenk Uygur has noticed about everything else, involved Biden only solving about 5 percent of a problem and you'll get more in some second Biden term, which we now know is a fantasy. Why not completely forgive student debt as the 65 housing authority permits you to do? Helps 40 million voters. He didn't need GOP votes to pass that. I just shake my head at this. Biden wouldn't even support Medicaid/Medicare buy in. The Biden/Harris admin did forgive about 1 percent to 5 percent of student debt. Was that enough? Apparently not. I mean really. It wasn't enough. The Ernest Partridge theory of the Democratic Party as the Washington Generals seems to be true. It just didn't seem like they cared much if they lost. And, considering all the bribe money they took, maybe they were paid to lose.

I'm happy that white women voted for pro choice ballot measures and as a majority against Trump in PA. Not happy that white women nationally voted for Trump as a majority and they sent Hawley and Scott back to congress to enact a nationwide abortion ban.

Twitter post where my reach was limited by the very impartial Twitter owner, seen dancing around on the stage with Trump like a bit of a Dip. Thank god Musk doesn't own Blogger, yet.
Post where the reach was limited on Twitter. On the day of the election. And the warning was completely false and had nothing to do with the post. There was no hate speech involved. I was clearly joking.

Has nothing to do with "Derangement". There are lots of good reasons not to like Trump and his openly fascist party.
Yeah it's not just because of losing my healthcare or the fact that I do not like convicted rapists and racists in general. I dislike the openly fascist (By every definition I've read.) GOP for many many reasons. It doesn't have anything to do with derangement. I like laws that protect my air and water. I don't think an anti vaccine guy like RFK Jr should be running the Dept of Health. Etcetera and So On. It's terrifying that the election is a coin toss.

Don't pay attention to the attack ads. Charlamagne tha God has endorsed Kamala Harris.
BTW if you're watching Charlamagne the God talk about Kamala's position on sex change operations (endlessly here in Pgh. Pa right now.), that attack ad omits the fact that tha God has endorsed Kamala Harris.

Kamala should sack her ad team because many of her ads don't emotionally resonate. She's either answering very weakly or not at all.
Free political advice for Harris. Taken in the spirit of: What have I got to lose and what have you got to lose? Not sure Trump will win but he's definitely gaining and the prospects of GOP house and senate candidates seem to be rising with him.
Adapted from Twitter:
These ads either are not being countered or countered in a very weak way by the badly done Harris Walz ads that I've seen, at least here in Pittsburgh. (The Harris ads do not resonate emotionally. When I watch a Trump ad I feel that Harris is personally helping some evil migrant kill some white person. All the Harris ads have no emotional life. They're not funny or interesting. Even though Harris has the support of Hollywood they seem poorly imagined and produced...It's unreal....) There's a reason Harris didn't do well in the Dem primary in 2020. I mean, even the Bob Casey ads are specific. They're to the point. Casey isn't exactly a ball of fire btw. Not sure he's going to win but his ads are specific. But the modern campaign is a television ad war that these center right neo lib dems just don't understand. Trump is winning the ad wars. If I was Harris, then I would sack my team and replace it with Casey's team.Does Kamala Harris know that she's in danger if she loses this election? Because if you don't move on student debt or Israeli genocide, you're making me think she doesn't know.

Couldn't post this on Twitter for some reason. But children, as well as debt, are often used to keep people quiet and scared. You might be willing to take a hit for public statements. But not if it harms your kids or career prospects.
Well one of the things that having kids does is that it kind of enslaves and restrains you. I'm broke and I can't afford kids and there were very few times where I could. But that does give you some freedom. Not only is there nothing financial to take away from me (trust me on this.) but it frees me to say the truth. For example: Israel should be registered as a foreign agent. Biden and all the Dems that armed them should also be charged with war crimes. It really is genocide in Gaza. And I'll take the punishment for saying those things. Apparently it could be my phone exploding near my groin. Or my heart. Choices I guess. But I also don't have to worry about someone targeting my children or a job that I would probably need if I had kids. No trust funds here. People with kids, or politicians who want kids and want a future in politics, or less likely to say what I just said. And I don't think those people are awful cowards. There's a price to pay if you take on the lobby. You're just less likely to do that if burdened by debt or children. I think that's the point of our fucked up society. And one of the many many reasons it's a fucked up society.
I was responding to this Young Turks post. One thing I forgot to add: If Sarah Huckabee really liked kids in her state she wouldn't have signed a bill allowing them to work at younger ages. Contrast this to Walz feeding all the kids in his state. Their pics with kids look different too.
